Here are some of the books currently available. These have actually been translated into most of the major languages of the world, and some minor ones. Nothing makes a Mother happier than receiving a copy of her son's book in Chinese and having to get someone to find his name on the cover. Off the top of my head, I can recall seeing translations in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Greek, Turkish, Polish, Yugoslavian. Bound to be more I've forgotten.

Some of these I've never even seen in the final form. For example, the book on Sabre programming for American Airlines, was used exclusively in-house. Most don't even have my name on the cover (though if you looked carefully, you'd find my name slipped into the text or a graphic in the book at various places.)
Assembly Language Programming for 80x86 Computers |
For SRA (Science Research Associates) and then IBM. I was working as a consultant for Courseware at the time, later taken over by Arthur Anderson (of Enron fame). IBM presented a live course on assembly language programming a number of times a year and these books were to make that material available to IBM employees without having to send them to the courses. This was a real money maker for SRA and IBM - their most popular title for many years. If I recall correctly, they didn't sell this book (actually, books, workbooks and video tapes), they rented it. For something like $1,500.00 each. Same with the other IBM titles below. The $1,500 pricetag explains why I don't get to keep copies of the titles. |
Advanced Assembly Language Programming for 80x86 Computers | Same as above but a more advanced treatment. |
OS/2 Programming for Software Developers | For IBM. The OS/2 operating system should have replaced the Windows operating system, and then we wouldn't be worrying about viruses and such. Sabatoged by Mr. Gates. |
Advanced OS/2 Programming for Software Developers | Advanced of above. |
Presentation Manager Programming for Software Developers | The GUI interface for OS/2. See above. |
Advanced Presentation Manager Programming for Software Developers | Advanced of above. |
Sabre Programming | For American Airlines. Sabre is one of the programs that travel agents use to book your ticket. |
Unix Programming | ATT? I did a number of UNIX and UNIX-like books for various companies (through Courseware, Inc.) and I don't even remember who the final client was. I know AT&T was one client. Did these books with Terry Liebowitz and Robert Rother, and all the fine folks at Courseware. |
Advanced Unix Programming | Same |
Xenix Progarmming | Same |
AIX Programming | Same |
IX/370 | UNIX under VM. Same. |
